Starting Line-up

Welcome ... Since I am a fanatic when it comes to our national past time, I will present my reasons for joining the blog world in a starting 9 line up:

1. Sometimes thoughts cannot be limited to 140 characters (i.e. Twitter and Facebook feeds).
2. This world can make you pretty angry sometimes, I think you need a place to drop random thoughts so you don't spill them all over the unsuspecting public.  I regularly vent and get frustrated in public to the benefit of no one ... maybe this will help. 
3. With education and sports constantly changing rapidly, I need another place to vent about the changes that are happening ... screaming at ESPN and NJN on t.v. have not effectively helped control frustrations.  Some examples of recent frustration include a governor in NJ who attacks spending state money on public urban education, but takes private helicopters to his sons baseball games on the tax payers dimes.  I am pretty sure Christies food bill in the sole reason for the NJ budget short fall.
4. Batting clean-up ... Since every tea party wackaloon can have a spot on the internet and fox news, I figure some of my thoughts and ideas have to be better than those nut jobs.  Seriously, in a world where Palin can see Russia from her house and Bush won two terms we all have a thought worth hearing. 
5. Needing a place to share venting on the Yankees ... was going to call this blog Steinbrenners ghost, but then irabu died and it seemed in bad taste.
6. Reading other blogs by friends (Danny L. and KStanz) is a nice window into other peoples thinking without actually having to pick up the phone and talk like it is 1990.
7. A place to rail on all of the worst things in modern society ... the Jersey Shore cast, people who ride scooters in walmart, anyone on the NJ turnpike without easy pass, politicians who know nothing about education making decisions, etc ... to name a few things.
8. The need to realize that history does matter.  In current society, everything is either "the best or worst" thing ever instantly ... really?  Was there no time before the 2000's? 
9. Finally, the ninth hitter is the weakest in your line up.  For me, the reason to start this is that keeping a diary and/or journal would be a little middle school female for my taste ... somehow this seems better.
